Why There Are So Many Auto Recalls

It is good that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) keeps track of customer complaints, launches investigations, and issues recalls. However, one has to wonder why so many vehicles get recalled. Shouldn’t the maker of your car be using the best, safest parts available? Shouldn’t the company’s managers be putting your safety above their profits? Of course they should, but this doesn’t always happen.
